The idea is to try to teach kids “computer sense”, a bit like “number sense”. And I think it can help adults too to understand how HTTP is different from HTTPS, what “certificate” and “certificate authorities” are, and even public and private keys. Actually, that was also my purpose in making it: to get all those concepts sorted out in my own head!
Yes, this is along the same lines as my previous “Public Key Cryptography for 4 year olds” posts (part 1 and part 2).
